It Will Be Okay by Lysa TerKeurst {Review & Giveaway}

TNM Growing up can be scary but no matter what we have to grow up whether we like it or not. And I don’t know about you but I am not a huge fan of change I like things to stay the same I don’t like change. IMG_5279 Introducing “It Will Be Okay: Trusting God through Fear and Change” by the always amazing Lysa TerKeurst and illustrated by Natalia Moore. It Will Be Okay is one of the sweetest books that I have read in a long time! It will help teach our children from early age that in the midst of scary circumstances they don’t have to be afraid! Not only was it a comfort to my children but it was also a comfort to me! You see, last week it very close family friend…my mom’s best friend suddenly died. Both my mom and I have really struggled with “why” it’s been really difficult. We know she isn’t suffering anymore and for that we are praising God…but we don’t want her to be gone. Now, who would have thought that this children’s book would have brought me such comfort!? IMG_4704It Will Be Okay follow along as Little Seed and Little Fox face fears big changes and new things…all things that they don’t like! When you open up this beautifully illustrated book you’ll find a letter entitled “hi friend” You will also find quote scriptures to memorize with your kids” including

  • Philippians 4:6
  • Romans 8:28
  • Genesis 28:15
  • Zephaniah 3:17
  • Jeremiah 29:11
  • Psalm 18:1–2

From there the story begins “in a dusty shed on the rickety shelf hidden in a cozy packet with the tiny seed

In It Will Really Be Okay you meet two precious characters Little Seed and Little Fox! Both of them going through things that make them afraid, from there they’re unlikely friendship with each other begins. When it’s time for little seed to be planted Little Seed thinks “oh no please no I don’t want to go” Little Seed is afraid to be planted because it seem so scary but the farmer tells him “it will be okay you can trust me”  Then just like that Little Fox’ best friend is gone and he’s afraid to be alone. IMG_5289Little Fox stayed by little seed night after night and day after day. He was scared and lonely too” This book is so sweet and I just love it so much and I’m not gonna lie it has made me cry every time I have read it to my children.
